d, known mostly as D, Dipper, or Richard, is the protagonist of TwitchPlaysPokémon X and the player controlled character. He was born in Vaniville Town in the Kalos region. When he started his journey (picking Chespin as his starter), D began to become controlled by The Voices like others before him. He beat all of the Gym Leaders of Kalos, the Elite Four, and Diantha, the Champion, making him the new Kalos League Champion. After that, D was freed from The Voices.

He is a vain young man with a penchant for poor shopping choices and fashion. He appears to consider Pokémon useful only if they match his needs, and has no qualms about trading them away if he can obtain a stronger Pokémon in return.
It has been disputed as to whether he is an effeminate man or a cross dressing woman. They say he is black Serena in disguise.
